Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled WordPress / Shopify Engineer to design, develop, customize, and maintain high-quality websites and eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with WordPress and Shopify platforms, including theme and plugin development, Liquid templating, and API integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites
Build and customize WordPress themes and plugins
Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid
Integrate third‑party services and tools using APIs
Optimize websites for performance, security, and scalability
Ensure responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing maintenance and support
Collaborate with designers, marketers, and backend teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience with WordPress development (themes and plugins)
Hands‑on experience with Shopify theme development and Liquid
Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
Experience with WooCommerce and Shopify apps
Familiarity with Git and version control systems
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with custom Shopify apps
Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.)
Experience with website performance optimization and SEO best practices
Knowledge of hosting environments and deployment workflows
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
