The ideal candidate has experience supporting high-end residential or boutique commercial projects and is eager to grow into a leadership role managing budgets, schedules, client relationships, subcontractors, and project execution from preconstruction through closeout.

The role builds upon responsibilities commonly held by Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, while adding ownership of project financials, client communication, and overall project success.
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead the day-to-day management of luxury residential construction projects from planning through completion.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents, clients, architects, consultants, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery.
- Drive project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities.
- Identify risks proactively and develop solutions to maintain budget and schedule goals.
- Conduct regular project meetings and maintain clear communication among all stakeholders.
Financial Management
- Own project budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting.
- Manage subcontractor commitments, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Review and approve invoices and subcontractor pay applications.
- Prepare owner billings and Applications for Payment.
- Monitor job costs and maintain accurate budget projections throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality expectations.
Contract & Documentation Management
- Manage all project documentation, including:
- RFIs
- Submittals
- Change Orders (CCOs and PCCOs)
- Drawing revisions
- Specifications
- Permits and permit logs
- Project directories
- Closeout documentation
- Ensure all project records are maintained accurately within Procore and company systems.
- Maintain complete project files and turnover documentation.
Client & Design Team Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for homeowners, architects, and interior designers.
- Build strong relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and transparency.
- Facilitate design coordination and decision-making throughout construction.
- Communicate schedule impacts, budget updates, and project progress effectively.
Quality Control
- Partner with field leadership to ensure workmanship meets company standards and design intent.
- Review finish schedules and coordinate procurement activities.
- Participate in site walks and quality control inspections.
- Ensure project deliverables meet expectations for luxury residential construction.
Team Development
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Help establish best practices for project administration and execution.
- Promote a collaborative, accountable, and solutions-oriented project culture.
Required Qualifications
- 3–8 years of construction project management experience.
- Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role with increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and project delivery.
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, budgets, and schedules.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction management software.
Preferred Qualifications
- High-end custom residential construction experience.
- Experience working with architects, interior designers, and discerning homeowners.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Experience managing projects valued between $2M–$20M+.
Compensation
- $140,000-$160,000
