This role owns everything from raw land development and heavy-haul infrastructure to foundations, building shell, and superstructure, defining the civil and structural standards that enable mission-critical compute at scale in remote, high-wind West Texas environments.You will author the Civil & Structural Standard, ensure EPCM partners deliver buildable, MEP-ready designs, and solve complex geotechnical, logistics, and infrastructure-autonomy challenges on "broken ground."Role ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include:Defining and publishing Civil & Structural Basis of Design (BOD) for AI data centre campusesEngineering grading, drainage, heavy-haul roads, and mass earthworkDesigning and overseeing foundations and slabs for extreme loads (compute blocks, transformers, cooling systems)Owning building shell and superstructure standards (PEMB, steel, precast, hybrid)Specifying performance criteria: loads, deflection, drift, vibration, roof uplift, envelope integrityDesigning on-site wastewater and sewer systems (no municipal utilities)Acting as Owner's Engineer reviewing EPCM designs, geotech, hydrology, and submittalsEnsuring flawless MEP integration (penetrations, embeds, supports, rigging paths)Providing field engineering leadership during excavation, foundations, and structural worksPerson SpecificationEssential skills will include:5+ years in land development, heavy industrial, or data center projectsStrong expertise in:Grading, drainage, hydrology, SWPPPFoundation design for heavy industrial loadsReviewing geotechnical reports and structural calcsWorking fluency in IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360, FM/insurance requirementsExperience with PEMB, structural steel, precast, modular systemsAbility to act as Owner's Engineer / Design ManagerComfortable reviewing Civil 3D models and EPCM deliverablesWillingness to be a "muddy boots" field engineerThis is a very exciting opportunity for a senior civil engineer who can turn raw West Texas land into hyperscale-ready AI data centre campuses, owning everything from dirt and roads to foundations and building shells, while setting the structural standards that protect billions of dollars of compute.Next StepsApply by contacting Ciaran Ahern, [email protected] is committed to equal opportunities regardless of gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief and age.J-18808-Ljbffr
