Job ResponsibilitiesJob Responsibilities: - Participate or lead in one or more key responsibilities of inspection department including but not limited to CMM measurement and programming, gage calibration and certification, supplied product certification and records, ERP goods movement.
- Program, setup, and properly run the CMM to provide data for feedback on parts
- Program, setup, and properly run the portable CMM inspection arms to provide data for feedback on parts.
- Qualify and maintain CMM and Portable CMM inspection arms
- Train operators to use CMM and Portable CMM inspection arms appropriately
- Conduct capability study inspections in co-ordination with Quality and Engineering
- Conduct receiving inspection and reporting according to established work instructions and schedule.
- Conduct first off product inspections and reporting according to established work instructions and schedule.
- Process auditing.
- Track and arrange all gage calibrations including vendor contact, obtaining quotes, and submitting timing plan to management
- Recommend new gaging solutions as needed
Job RequirementsJob Requirements: - Five years of machining and/or inspection experience
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gage, optical comparator, CMM (Zeiss preferred), portable CMM inspection arms (Romer preferred), and other test equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work independent of others
- Basic written and math skills
- SAP experience a plus
Education: - High school diploma or equivalent
Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, general business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations. Ability with writing reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to managers, clients, customers, suppliers, the general public and satellite locations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability in solving problems that deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
