Our client, a leading organization in the lumber and manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join their dynamic team. As a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations team, supporting efficient material handling and ensuring a safe working environment. Job Title: 2nd Shift Forklift Operator
Location: Athens, AL
Pay Range: $18.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM until finish (typically 10-12 hour shifts)
What's the Job?
- Operate a forklift to transport lumber and materials throughout the yard and warehouse safely and efficiently
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols
- Stack and organize lumber products in designated areas for easy access and inventory management
- Inspect materials for quality and report any damages or discrepancies
- Perform basic forklift inspections and adhere to all safety procedures at all times
What's Needed?
- Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong attention to safety and detail to prevent accidents and ensure quality
- Ability to work extended hours and perform physically demanding tasks
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
