Role Description This full-time, on-site Computer Graphic Artist role is based in Amarillo, TX. The Computer Graphic Artist will create and prepare digital artwork for signs, banners, vehicle graphics, and other visual communication products, ensuring designs meet brand standards and production specifications. Responsibilities include interpreting customer requirements, laying out graphics and text, selecting colors and fonts, and preparing print-ready files. The role involves working closely with the sales and production teams to refine concepts, adjust designs based on feedback, and ensure accuracy before printing or fabrication. The Computer Graphic Artist will also maintain organized design files, follow internal workflows, and use design and production software and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Computer Graphics and Graphics for print and digital sign production.
- Ability to apply Lighting and Texturing techniques to create visually appealing and readable designs.
- Basic understanding of Animation principles is a plus for digital signage and motion graphics projects.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or similar tools).
- Experience preparing print-ready files, including knowledge of color modes, resolution, bleeds, and file formats.
- Excellent attention to detail, layout, and typography, with strong visual problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret client needs, follow brand guidelines, and work from sketches or written instructions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or coursework in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Willingness to learn sign industry materials, production processes, and safety procedures.
