Job Description Position Title: Shipping Lead Wage: $20-$22/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shipping Lead to oversee daily shipping operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is ideal for someone with leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and a background in shipping and logistics. The Shipping Lead will coordinate outbound shipments, ensure order accuracy, prepare shipping documentation, schedule carrier pickups, and maintain inventory of shipping supplies. This is an associate to hire opportunity in Edgerton, KS. Shipping Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Coordinate and lead daily shipping activities to ensure all outgoing orders are prepared and shipped correctly - Verify shipment accuracy, including product quantities, packaging, and labeling - Prepare and print shipping documents, bills of lading, and tracking labels - Schedule carrier pickups and communicate with shipping partners as needed - Enter and update shipment data in company systems with a high degree of accuracy - Monitor inventory levels for shipping materials and report shortages promptly - Maintain a clean and organized shipping area in compliance with safety and company standards Shipping Lead Requirements: - 1-3 years of leadership experience supervising or leading a team - 1-3 years of logistics and shipping experience - 1-3 years of machine operating experience - Experience loading and unloading trailer - Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods - Must be able to lift, carry, or move items up to 50 pounds as needed - Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials - Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may vary in temperature - Ability to use a computer and handheld scanning equipment for data entry and tracking - Proficiency using RF scanners - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
