LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our client in Morris, IL. This direct hire opportunity is fully onsite.
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure cost efficiency and deliver high-quality products. This role requires 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in ERP systems and project management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes
- Analyze, design, and recommend fixtures, processes, and automation solutions
- Prioritize engineering safety into all manufacturing processes
- Create process routers, detailed manufacturing instructions, test plans, and inspection protocols to deliver high-quality products cost-effectively.
- Develop manufacturing requirements and testing procedures to ensure vendors and subcontractors meet all product specifications
- Collaborate with stakeholders to solve problems, close process gaps, and integrate mistake-proofing to prevent defects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- ERP systems and project management experience required
- 3D CAD modeling experience required (SolidWorks preferred)
- Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
- Skilled in tolerance control, stack-up analysis, GD&T, and understanding machinery and fixturing limitations.
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
