Expanded Responsibilities
- Manage Medical Department Objectives and Personnel
- Implement and follow Medical Department policies and procedures
- Provide physician or health staff vacation and absence coverage, disability leave of absence coverage and CME/training coverage and similar
- Follow all Federal and State occupational medical requirements and laws, including MIOSHA, HIPAA
- Maintain all appropriate licensure, certifications, and training including PA and DEA licensure
- Conduct medical department audits
- Participate in Safety Observation Tours, Job checks, Job walkthroughs
- Concisely document all patient medical assessment and treatments in the Electronic Health Record
- Manage First Responders
- Clinical Occupational Medicine Practice
- Diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses as approved by the Medical Director and may include simple procedures
- Conduct medical surveillance and medical qualification examinations
- Participate in the management of disability and Workers Compensation including fitness for duty, return to work exams and employee placement
- Lead or participate in preventative occupational health activities: Ergonomics, Bloodborne pathogens, Travel medicine
- Lead or participate in medical emergency response team and activities at the plant level, including assisting/overseeing in training and acting as coordinator where indicated

Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree required
- Board certification is required
- Valid medical license in the State(s) of practice
- Preferably with experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, ER
