Job Summary
The Heavy Equipment Operator manages the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment. They are proficient in the use of a diverse range of equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, graders, skid steers, and others as required. This is a union position.
Education & Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of one year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current member of applicable union.
Skills
- MSHA Certification.
- OSHA 10 hr Certification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification desired.
Physical Requirements
- Pass pre-employment/random drug screening and a PAT (physical abilities test).
- May occasionally exert force of 20-50 pounds, 10-25 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds constantly.
