Pay Rate: $28 per hour Summary:
- Location: Worcester, MA
- Work Mode: Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and schematics for enclosure systems and data center containment products.
- Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and customer requirements into manufacturable drawings and 3D models.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and shop floor personnel to ensure designs meet production capabilities and efficiency goals.
- Revise drawings to incorporate engineering changes, continuous improvement initiatives, and customer-driven updates.
- Identify and resolve tolerance stack-up, fit-up, and interference issues prior to release to production.
- Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) and drawing packages within PLM/CAD systems (e.g., Creo).
- Ensure drawing standards and revision control are maintained in accordance with company processes.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in CAD software (Creo preferred; AutoCAD/SolidWorks acceptable).
- Working knowledge of ASTM Y14 drafting and dimensioning standards.
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assemblies, and tolerance application.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create detailed technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to support manufacturing environments.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with enclosure systems, or data center infrastructure products.
- Exposure to PLM systems and engineering change management processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and controlled documentation environments.
