WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide comprehensive nursing care within a correctional facility setting in Somerset, Pennsylvania, supporting individuals with mental illness, physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and complex medical needs.

Job Function:
- Shift & Hours: 8hr Evening Shift | 2pm to 10:30pm | EOW.
- Provide practical nursing care and treatment for incarcerated individuals with mental or physical injury/illness, developmental disabilities, or difficulty with daily living activities in a correctional healthcare setting.
- Implement nursing care plans and perform routine practical nursing duties for patients/residents/inmates.
- Prepare, administer, and document medications and physician-ordered treatments in accordance with facility protocols.
- Observe, monitor, and report changes in physical and emotional behavior of patients/residents/inmates.
- Take and record vital signs, collect specimens, and maintain accurate progress notes and required administrative documentation.
- Participate in habilitation and rehabilitation programs established by interdisciplinary treatment teams, including support with daily living and recreational activities.
- May serve in a charge capacity for a living or patient care area, supervising unlicensed personnel and ensuring continuity of care.
- Ensure all nursing duties are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and practical nursing standards.
- Receive supervision from an LPN Supervisor, RN, or Physician depending on assignment and scope of duties.
- Shift : Float Position - 8hr Shifts
- The float can work up to two different shifts in a two week period.
- Every other weekend off.
- They must expect to work major holidays.
Job Requirements: Job Requirements: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, or a valid non-renewable temporary practice permit.
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Ability to work in a correctional facility environment providing care to a diverse and complex patient population.
- Ability to work under supervision of an LPN Supervisor, RN, or Physician as required.
- AHA BLS
