Pay & Benefits - Pay package discussed upon application
- Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit
- Competitive hourly rates for on-call and callback duties
- On-call (daily): $4,650 $5,000 per 24 hours (includes 4 hours gratis)
- 24-hour holiday call: $6,975 $7,500 per 24 hours (includes 4 hours gratis)
- Callback (per patient contact hour): $500 $550
- Holiday callback: $750 $825 per hour of patient contact
- Orientation: $250 $275 (half the hourly rate, after 8 hours)
- Additional reimbursements for travel, lodging, and licensure as applicable

What You ll Do - Provide 24/7 Cardiothoracic surgery coverage, including CABG, valve, and thoracic procedures
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure continuous patient care during assigned shifts
- Manage trauma and emergency cases at a level 2 trauma center
- Support hospital's surgical team during scheduled coverage periods and on-call duties
- Follow hospital protocols and documentation requirements using Epic EMR
- Be available for callbacks and emergency procedures as needed during shifts and holidays
What You Need - Active Nebraska medical license and current board certification or eligibility in surgery
- Prior experience performing CABG, valve surgeries, and thoracic procedures
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements within 60-90 days
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a hospital setting
Preferred: - Experience working in trauma centers or level 2 trauma hospitals
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system
