Responsibilities Under the supervision of a Senior Technician or Chemist, the Technician will be expected to perform the following duties with a high level of initiative and independence:
- Conduct mechanical, electrical, and thermal property testing of thermal interface materials and coatings.
- Evaluate, collect, analyze, and accurately record test data.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and executing experiments using established laboratory procedures.
- Document experimental methods, observations, and results in laboratory notebooks and presentation materials.
- Enter, organize, and maintain project data using computer-based systems, including charts, tables, and spreadsheets.
- Summarize and communicate project findings and technical results to team members.
- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in training activities and continuously develop technical laboratory skills.
Qualifications 1–3 years of demonstrated laboratory experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols while maintaining accurate data records. Comfortable working with hazardous chemicals and adhering to established laboratory safety procedures. Able to stand for extended periods while performing laboratory work. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field required. Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic experience in a laboratory or workshop environment preferred. Demonstrated understanding of workplace and laboratory safety practices. Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to follow training and instruction effectively. Comfortable working with and maintaining data in Excel spreadsheets.
