Senior Landscape Architect
An established multidisciplinary design practice is looking for a Senior Landscape Architect with 10+ years of professional experience to support a wide range of public realm and infrastructure-focused projects. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to projects such as civic open spaces, educational environments, waterfront revitalisation, sustainable infrastructure, transportation corridors, and urban landscape improvements.
The successful candidate will be involved throughout all stages of project delivery, from early concept development through to construction administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and design of landscape architecture projects, including site layout, grading and drainage strategies, planting concepts, hardscape detailing, and sustainable stormwater solutions.
- Prepare and oversee production of drawings, technical documentation, specifications, visual presentations, cost estimates, and supporting reports.
- Develop design concepts and coordinate construction documentation across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Review and guide the work of junior staff, providing mentorship and technical direction where needed.
- Manage construction phase services including shop drawing reviews, responses to contractor queries, field observations, and quality assurance reviews.
- Assist with business development efforts, proposal preparation, and presentation materials for prospective projects.
- Collaborate closely with professionals across planning, engineering, architecture, environmental, and surveying disciplines to deliver integrated project solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience within landscape architecture or site development projects.
- Professional licensure preferred.
- Strong technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation.
- Experience with 3D modelling and visualisation tools including SketchUp, Rhino, or similar platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills with the ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
