Meter Services Manager
The Meter Services Manager oversees all field and analytical activities necessary to maintain the City's water meter infrastructure, ensure accurate meter readings, minimize billing exceptions, and support a seamless meter-to-cash process. The position manages meter installations, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, inventory control, calibration programs, field investigations, automated meter systems, and work order performance. This role serves as the primary managerial liaison between Public Works and Finance/Utility Billing, ensuring that field operations, system integrations, and data quality standards consistently support accurate and timely billing. The Manager also leads or co-leads City initiatives related to Customer Information System (CIS) modernization, Advance Meter Infrastructure (AMI) platform improvements, work order automation, Geographic Information System (GIS) integration, internal controls, and customer-facing proactive communication tools.

Minimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering Technology, Public Administration, Data Analytics, Business, or related field).
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in water utilities, metering operations, billing system support, or AMI systems.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience required. Experience with CIS systems, AMI platforms, work order management applications, meter asset management, and GIS environments (preferred).
- Experience leading field staff and implementing operational standards (preferred).
- Must have National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (level to be determined by job classification requirements) or obtain within one (1) year of employment.
- Must possess a valid Florida Class E driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
