Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor Location: Portland, Oregon, USA (100% Onsite) Employment Type: Full-time Openings: 4 Shifts: 4 days on / 4 days off - 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) As a Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee mechanical and electrical maintenance for high-speed production equipment. You'll lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs, supervise union technicians, improve reliability, and ensure safety and quality compliance. This is a key leadership role in a high-performance manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities People & Labor Management
- Supervise unionized staff: Technicians, Electricians, Engineers
- Drive safety, quality, and production efficiency
- Lead daily maintenance meetings and root cause discussions
- Manage recruitment, training, and performance of maintenance teams
- Foster strong union relationships
- Ensure compliance with GMPs and OSHA standards
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Lead execution of all PM, run-time, and downtime maintenance
- Lead troubleshooting during unplanned stops; reduce MTTR
- Ensure critical safety and quality-related PMs are prioritized and closed
- Provide feedback and updates to SAP-based maintenance planning
- Conduct and lead breakdown analysis and post-intervention reviews
Operational Excellence & Reliability
- Optimize equipment reliability using Lean and TPM principles
- Identify training gaps and lead technical development for technicians
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures
- Collaborate across functions to support successful start-ups and changeovers
- Evaluate root causes and drive CAPAs for chronic failures
Education & Experience Education: Bachelor's in Engineering preferred OR 5+ years of experience Experience (Required): 3+ years in supervisory role in manufacturing maintenance Union Environment: Required Preventive Maintenance (PM): Required Manufacturing Plant Experience: Required; Food industry preferred Recruiter Submission Template - Full Name: Degree Major with University & Completion Year: Do you have experience in preventive maintenance planning and execution?
