Job Title: CNC Lathe Operator (Advanced) – Grow Into Setup & Programming Company: All-Tech Manufacturing Location: Akron, OH Job Type: Full-Time Pay Range: $20 – $30 per hour (based on experience) Shift: Day Shift (Monday–Friday) Overtime: Available as needed Experience Level: Intermediate (2–5+ years) Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Overview We're hiring a strong CNC operator who wants to take the next step. This role is ideal for someone with real machine shop experience who is ready to move beyond basic operation and grow into setup and programming. You'll start by running parts on CNC lathes and mills, while learning how to take jobs from print to completion on high-end equipment, including DMG Mori NLX turning centers. The Work You'll Be Doing Operate CNC lathes (primary focus) and mills in a production environment Load parts, monitor cycles, and maintain part quality Make offset adjustments and basic edits at the machine Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances Perform in-process inspection using standard gauges Assist with setups and tooling selection Learn setup and programming from experienced machinists Machines, Controls & Equipment CNC Lathes (Primary): DMG Mori NLX 2500/700 (newer models) Mori Seiki NL2500/700 Doosan Puma 200 Doosan Lynx Series Doosan Puma GT2100 (bar-fed) Daewoo Puma Series Hitachi Seiki HT20 CNC Mills: Doosan DNM 4500 Doosan DNM 400 Hyundai KF5600 Controls: Fanuc DMG Mori Celos Inspection Tools: Calipers, micrometers, gauges, and standard inspection equipment Materials You'll Work With Aluminum Stainless steel Alloy steel Production metals across multiple industries What We're Looking For Required: 2–5+ years of CNC machine shop experience Experience operating CNC lathes or mills Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances Comfortable making offsets and basic machine adjustments Preferred: Exposure to setup work Interest in learning programming and process ownership Experience with Fanuc or similar controls Why This Role is Different This is not a button-pushing position.
