What You'll Do
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance, mechanical repair and installation of all machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds. This position is responsible for the safety of their employees, keeping their assigned work areas safe, and compliance with all environmental regulations. The Maintenance Manager will report to the Plant Manager.
- Directs maintenance employees in their roles and responsibilities to meet objectives
- Complete projects on schedule and within budget; promote quality, first time repairs, and ensure completion of preventive maintenance schedule
- Analyzes problems and directs repairs by scheduling maintenance personnel and ensuring timely and accurate repairs are completed
- Schedules preventative maintenance in order to eliminate machinery breakdown and reduce downtime
- Charges maintenance repairs against various accounts so labor costs are allocated to the proper cost centers
- Continually monitors and analyzes maintenance department activities in order to reduce costs and improve production efficiency
- Schedules/supervise the repair or replacement of all defective equipment according to priority and in conjunction with production
- Ensures compliance with all applicable corporate and governmental guidelines, rules, and regulations pertaining to health, safety, and environmental issues
- Purchases cost-effective supplies as required by the maintenance department to support the needs of the plant
- Coordinates subcontractors and outside vendor activities to meet site needs
- Maintain close communications with various department supervisors
What You'll Need
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Possess an associate's degree with at least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Have at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
- Be able to work weekends and respond to callouts, when needed
- Have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of team and be able to communication with different levels of the company
- Be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and walk, bend, and stoop throughout the day
