DescriptionPosition OverviewThe Senior Systems Engineer is a client-facing, hands-on technical role responsible for deploying and supporting high-value IT infrastructure projects for clients nationwide. This position reports directly to the Project Director and follows process direction from the Project Manager. When not traveling, the Senior Systems Engineer works from corporate headquarters collaborating closely with the Project and Support teams.This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to execute complex infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication and documentation standards.Key Responsibilities & Daily TasksClient Onboarding & Project ExecutionPerform new client onboardings in accordance with established project processes and checklistsDeploy and configure the TST technology stack across workstations and serversRemove legacy administrative access and implement standardized TST administrative accountsConduct IP scans and network performance testing for wired and wireless environmentsLabel and document all workstations, servers, printers, and network equipmentPerform wireless site surveys and capture detailed photographic documentationEnsure all gathered data is entered accurately into documentation systemsInfrastructure DeploymentConfigure and install network equipment including firewalls, switches, and wireless access pointsConfigure and deploy physical and virtual servers running Microsoft Windows ServerImplement Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP servicesDeploy new client workstations following standardized build proceduresSupport Microsoft 365 migrations, changes, and expansionsEscalation & Technical SupportAssist with escalated project-related technical issuesTroubleshoot complex networking, server, and infrastructure challengesCoordinate with vendor escalation teams when necessaryProject Communication & ReportingMaintain accurate project notes, time entries, and task updatesKeep Project Managers and clients informed of project status and changesAttend project meetings, client kickoff calls, onboarding sessions, and findings review callsProvide daily end-of-day status reports to the Project DirectorDocumentation & Process AdherenceMaintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, credentials, and system inventoriesEnsure all onboarding, site survey, and project documentation is completed and uploaded within required timelinesComplete findings reports identifying issues, risks, and infrastructure inventoryFollow all project checklists, procedures, and timelines without exceptionTime, Travel & Professional ExpectationsTime & AttendanceAccurately record all working time, travel time, and expensesSubmit PTO requests at least two weeks in advanceMaintain consistent attendance to support project schedulesTravel & ExpensesSubmit travel requests a minimum of two weeks prior to onsite workSubmit expense reports within five business days of completing onsite travelCommunicate any delays, changes, or unforeseen circumstances promptlyProfessional StandardsDemonstrate professionalism in all client and internal interactionsMaintain confidentiality and protect sensitive company and client informationAdhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standardsAccept responsibility for work quality, communication, and outcomesRequirementsRequired Skills & Qualifications5 or more years of hands-on IT infrastructure experienceStrong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCPAdvanced networking knowledge including firewalls, switches, and wireless systemsExperience deploying and supporting Microsoft 365 environmentsProven ability to execute complex infrastructure projectsStrong documentation and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsManaged Service Provider experienceExperience with virtualization platforms and enterprise networking hardwareHealthcare or dental IT experienceAdvanced troubleshooting and vendor coordination experienceBenefits & PerksPaid Time Off program in accordance with company policyCompany-observed paid holidaysHealth insurance options available to eligible employeesCrewHu employee recognition and rewards program$50 monthly cell phone stipendCompany-provided equipment and toolsOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesJ-18808-Ljbffr
