Job Title: General Production Worker – Paint Preparation
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled General Production Worker to perform paint preparation tasks on large vehicles , such as RVs, motorhomes, and charter buses. Experience in manufacturing or production environments is highly valued. Candidates with at least 6 months of experience are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare large vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces according to specifications.
- Utilize basic hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete prep and general production tasks.
- Carry out buffing and detailing work to ensure a high-quality finish on all painted surfaces.
- Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures to maintain consistent output.
- Collaborate with the team and cross-train in additional departments, such as painting and detailing, to support production needs.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of previous production or manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in the safe use of hand and power tools.
- Experience with reading and using a tape measure accurately for assembly tasks.
- Knowledgeable in following quality standards and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical work, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and bending.
- Capability to work from ladders safely to access higher areas of large vehicles.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.

Work Environment
The position is based in a fast-paced production facility focused on large vehicles. The role operates on a first-shift schedule , Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The work is hands-on and physically active, involving the use of standard manufacturing tools and equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Forest City, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $20.25/hr.
