About the Position
This Warehouse Associate will be housed out of Decatur (Wise EC) but will need to work from the Bluegrove (J-A-C) location three (3) days/week. A TEC vehicle is provided for travel between locations, roughly one hour each direction, which means candidates must have a Valid license to drive between locations.
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service and accuracy. This role performs essential tasks such as material handling, order fulfillment, and inventory control in a high-volume environment. Warehouse Associates are expected to follow established procedures, uphold safety and quality standards, and actively contribute to a clean and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick, pack, and ship materials in alignment with customer expectations and order requirements.
- Load and unload truck orders while following safety protocols and material handling best practices.
- Store materials properly within designated warehouse racking and storage locations.
- Complete routine and accurate cycle count to support inventory integrity.
- Receive, inspect, and put away incoming materials promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional warehouse and yard environment.
- Operate forklifts and related warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide support to other co-op locations by driving and assisting when required
Qualifications:
- Forklift and warehouse experience preferred
- Prior forklift certification a strong plus
- Valid drivers' license required for business travel between locations
- Experience loading flatbed trailers preferred
- Basic computer skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees within and outside the organization
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, pull, twist, push, and pull for sustained periods of time
- Able to operate a computer and other office machinery using finger dexterity for typing and writing
- Must be able to communicate, converse with, and exchange information by means of the spoken word
- Able to perform physical effort to lift or move materials up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity to view a computer screen
- Must be able to work in outdoor areas, subject to the elements
