Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead daily housekeeping operations across lodging accommodations and shared guest spaces. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising staff, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting a strong team culture. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable stepping in to assist when needed. You will work closely with operations and front desk staff to ensure rooms and facilities are ready, well-maintained, and aligned with guest expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise housekeeping team members and assign daily tasks
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate operational updates
- Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and event spaces for quality and cleanliness
- Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and privacy standards
- Train, coach, and mentor team members
- Adjust staffing based on occupancy and event schedules
- Oversee laundry operations and equipment maintenance
- Coordinate room status updates with front office staff
- Submit and follow up on maintenance requests
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements when needed
- Manage inventory levels for cleaning supplies and linens
- Enforce key control procedures and department protocols
- Assist with cleaning tasks during peak times or staff shortages
- Partner with management on team development and performance matters
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth guest experience
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional cleaning experience
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to motivate and lead by example
- Comfortable using basic software systems and workplace technology
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform active job duties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible availability, including weekends and peak seasons
