Senior Research Analyst Position Description The analyst will be responsible for analyzing investment gradecorporate credits. The successful candidate will be a member of a team thatprovides fundamental credit analysis used for making timely investmentrecommendations for client portfolios with the goal of outstanding investmentperformance. This position isresponsible for: Makinginvestment recommendations and providing appropriate documentation to supportthe decision-making process. Conductingextensive due diligence to support buy/sell/hold decisions as well as relativevalue recommendations. Assessingindividual company financial profiles. Preparing/maintainingfinancial models. Monitoringearnings releases and news stories. Networkingwith key industry participants and analysts. Preparingconcisely written company specific reports that will include a rationale forthe recommendation, a summary of key credit strengths/concerns, and notesregarding recent developments. Monitoringcredit trends within assigned industries, identifying key drivers within each industry,and presenting near and intermediate term outlooks. Qualifications 5+ years of relevant industry related experience with aproven track record of fundamental credit analysis that results in soundinvestment decisions. Keen interest in understanding the evolution of industriesand the competitive position of businesses. Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements,determine management strengths/weaknesses, and assess the viability ofcorporate strategies. Demonstrated success in identifying key credit issues andeffectively communicating these findings to appropriate personnel. Strong oral and written communication skills, with provenability to make, communicate, and defend decisions. Experience and comfort with presenting analysis to bothinternal and external constituents. Motivation tocontribute to the success of the team and the firm. Ability to manage timeeffectively and fanatical attention to detail across all tasks.
