Veterinary Receptionist
Veterinary Emergency Referral Center is looking to add an experienced overnight Veterinary Receptionist to our emergency animal hospital. Our team values top-quality medicine and works hard to stay up to date on the latest advancements and encourages continual growth!
Compensation:
- Starting at $17/hr, will increase with advanced knowledge & experience
- Additional $2/hr shift differential after 10pm available for overnights!
Anticipated Schedule:
- Three 12-hour shifts, Overnights 8pm - 8am
- Rotating weekends and Holidays

You enjoy interacting and building relationships with clients, understand the importance of clear & effective communication, and are committed to outstanding client service and exceptional patient care.
As a Client Service Representative your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Promoting and maintaining exceptional customer service.
- Handling busy, multi-line phone system.
- Scheduling appointments for all departments, check clients in and out.
- Act as a point of contact with referral hospitals to ensure all patient records are sent and received appropriately.
- Act as a liaison between clients and clinical staff, ensuring clear and concise communication.
- Support clients through difficult and emotional processes by maintaining professionalism and displaying empathy in all interactions.
Requirements for the Role:
- High School diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of Veterinary Customer Service or Hospitality Experience
- Basic knowledge of veterinary environment, terminology, and protocols. Ability to work with or around sick animals, potentially hazardous materials, cleaning chemicals, gas anesthetics, zoonotic diseases, and unpleasant odors.
- Demonstrated professionalism in all interactions, and experience with de-escalation of difficult and stressful client or employee situations in a respectful and professional manner. Attention to detail, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills with both clients and team members.
- Proficient in using computer and phone technology to manage appointments, records, and client communications efficiently.
- Ability to be flexible and adjust to a consistently changing environment, with a desire to grow and adapt within the hospital and professional field.
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
