About the Opportunity
We are seeking passionate and student-focused Career Pathways Coaches to help guide high school students toward successful college and career outcomes, with a strong emphasis on STEM and engineering pathways.
This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about education, mentorship, college access, and creating opportunities for underserved and first-generation students.
Key Responsibilities
Student Advising & College Access
- Provide one-on-one and group advising to high school students.
- Guide students through college applications, FAFSA/TASFA, scholarships, and financial aid processes.
- Support students in exploring STEM, engineering, and technology career pathways.
- Help students develop college and career readiness skills.
Programming & Workshops
- Facilitate engaging workshops on:
- College admissions
- Financial literacy
- Scholarship opportunities
- Time management
- College transition success
- Coordinate college visits, virtual tours, and career exploration activities.
Family & Community Engagement
- Partner with families to support students throughout the college planning process.
- Build relationships with schools, colleges, universities, and community organizations.
- Provide resources and workshops for parents and guardians.
Postsecondary Success Support
- Maintain communication with program alumni.
- Support students transitioning into college and monitor persistence indicators.
- Connect students with resources to overcome academic, financial, or personal challenges.
Data & Reporting
- Track student progress, applications, scholarships, and enrollment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to program reporting and evaluation efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in college advising, student support, counseling, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship processes.
- Experience facilitating workshops or delivering instruction to groups.
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting first-generation or underrepresented student populations is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of STEM or engineering pathways is a plus.

Work Environment
