Docstar is looking for an Orthopedic Surgeon (MD/DO) for a contract in Nevada.
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Length of Assignment: 3 6 months
Schedule: 2 weeks/month of block coverage; hour shifts with rotating 24-hour orthopedic trauma call while on service
Credentialing: Temp privileges available with clean background; otherwise days
Patient Volume: 3 5 elective cases per week
Procedures: Joint replacement focus (TKA, THA), possible partial knees, basic revisions, and acute fracture/trauma care
Setting: 25-bed rural facility
EMR: Cerner
Licence Needed: NV or IMLC (may wait depending on experience)
Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery

This role includes 2 weeks/month of block coverage across clinic, OR, and inpatient trauma services, with hour shifts and rotating 24-hour orthopedic trauma call while on service. Clinical responsibilities include elective cases, post-op care, follow-ups, and outpatient consults, alongside hospital-based trauma coverage and surgical cases. Case mix includes both elective and trauma procedures. Ideal candidates have strong experience in arthroscopy, joint replacement, and acute fracture care, and can effectively balance elective and inpatient referrals. Providers must be able to supply 12 months of recent case logs. No APP support this is a direct surgeon-delivered care model. Facility includes a 4-bed Medical ICU, on-site MRI, and an emergency department with approximately 17,734 annual visits and 81,000 outpatient visits. Located in Nevada, offering wide open spaces, outdoor recreation, and access to the Las Vegas strip!
