In this role, you will:
- Fabricate, assemble, integrate, and install communication, network, and security systems into a variety of military and government agency platforms, such as ships, vehicles, buildings, and transit cases.
- Fabricate a variety of RF, data, and power cables using solder and crimp techniques.
- Work with Quality Control, Engineering, Project Managers, and other functional groups to provide feedback and resolve issues.
- Read and interpret technical drawings for fabrication and installation of communication, network, and security systems.
- Build installation kits.
- Travel all over the world in support of our various customers.
All work is performed according to industry best practice and Mil Standards in accordance with Quality Assurance standards. The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $35.64/hr. This position is located in Lexington Park, MD. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Lexington Park, MD. or surrounding areas. Required Skills and Education High school diploma and at least 3 years of relevant experience Mechanical aptitude and experience with a range of hand and power tools Ability to frequently work in a sitting, standing, or walking position Ability to frequently lift and carry 10 pounds and occasionally lift and carry 50+ pounds Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work with hazardous material Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. state driver's/operator's license or permit Ability to travel within the U.S. and overseas (up to 50%) and obtain a US passport, as required Basic operational skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook and Excel EMPLOYEE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A PERSONAL SET OF BASIC HAND TOOLS. LIST OF REQUIRED TOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED.
