Entech Staffing Solutions is partnering with a premier electrical testing and maintenance provider to hire a skilled Medium Voltage Field Service Technician. If you have a strong background in NETA testing standards, transformer maintenance, and infrared scanning, we want to talk to you. This is a field-based role with a reliable Monday-Friday (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) baseline, supplemented by emergency response rotations and scheduled travel that will significantly boost your take-home pay through overtime. What You'll Do:
- Transformer Specialist: Perform high-level inspection, maintenance, testing, and repair on both oil-filled and dry-type medium voltage transformers.
- Apparatus Testing: Conduct medium voltage switchgear testing and low/medium voltage cable installations.
- Thermography: Execute specialized routine infrared inspections and predictive maintenance.
- Project Ownership: Manage on-site jobs, exercise good judgment under pressure, and draft accurate on-site job reports for clients.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements):
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of direct experience with medium voltage equipment start-ups, oil testing, and infrared scanning.
- Technical Certifications: Infrared training/certification is highly preferred; deep theoretical understanding of NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA standards.
- Field Flexibility: Comfort working in variable outdoor weather conditions, wearing heavy arc-flash PPE, and lifting up to 50 lbs daily.
- Availability: Willingness to participate in a rotation schedule for emergency outages, including occasional nights, weekends, and out-of-town overnight stays.
- Compliance: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen (including random testing).
