Field Service Technician
A manufacturer of emergency lighting products located in Trevose, PA is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team. The position requires travel to sites where contractors have installed Central Inverter Systems that require a factory representative to conduct the initial commissioning of the system. The role interfaces with Engineering, Customer Service, and Operations personnel as well as various levels of Supervision and Management. Travel can require overnight stays and can constitute as much as 75% of the required time. Emergency and short notice travel requirements also occur. Responsibilities include scheduling dates with installing contractor to meet customer needs for start-up, service and training activity; completing pre-defined requirements for measurement of voltages, conducting visual and mechanical inspections for compliance with product specifications; troubleshooting issues including cable connections, AC and DC circuits, printed circuit boards, and other similar functions and features of a Central Inverter System. Required skills include the ability to work with single phase and three phase units up to 480 VAC. Salary range: $65K-$80K.
