Job Title: HR Generalist

Overview:
Addison Group is partnering with a growing organization in Charlotte to identify an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations during a period of team transition and growth. This role will serve as a key resource across payroll, benefits, HRIS administration, employee relations, and compliance, while partnering closely with HR leadership to maintain efficient and compliant HR processes. This is a highly visible role requiring someone who can work independently, manage sensitive information with discretion, and confidently serve as a primary HR contact for employees and managers
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute day-to-day HR operations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and accuracy across all HR processes
- Manage bi-weekly payroll processing through HRIS/payroll systems, including audits, garnishments, deductions, and payroll discrepancy resolution
- Administer monthly bonus payouts and ensure proper taxation and payroll compliance
- Oversee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and carrier coordination
- Maintain accurate employee data within the HRIS and oversee updates related to hires, changes, and terminations
- Generate and analyze HR reports to support reporting, compliance, and business decision-making
- Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly HR reporting requirements
- Support compliance initiatives, audits, and adherence to state and federal employment regulations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, employee relations, and performance management
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers regarding corrective action, disciplinary processes, and policy interpretation
- Partner with HR leadership to identify process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and internal leadership teams to ensure smooth HR operations
What They're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, including payroll and benefits administration
- Strong experience managing HR processes independently in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience with UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systems strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of employment laws, payroll practices, and HR compliance
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with the ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with leadership and internal teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR
- Experience supporting a business unit or serving as a primary HR contact
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing and reporting requirements
- Advanced Excel and HR data analysis experience
Systems & Tools:
- UKG or similar HRIS & Payroll Systems
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel preferred)
- HR reporting and payroll systems
