Copow Foods is seeking a Lead Artisan Baker to oversee and grow our bakery program in Post Falls, Idaho. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a developing artisan bakery within a rapidly growing food company that is building a better food system through exceptional ingredients, traditional craftsmanship, and a commitment to real food.
We are looking for a baker who wants more than a production role. We want a leader who is passionate about artisan baking, thrives on quality, and is excited by the opportunity to help shape a bakery program that can grow alongside a regional food company with national ambitions.

What You'll Do
- Lead all artisan bakery production and quality standards
- Manage and maintain sourdough starters and fermentation schedules
- Produce artisan breads, sourdough loaves, pastries, cookies, and specialty baked goods
- Develop and refine bakery recipes, systems, and production processes
- Lead product innovation and seasonal offerings
- Oversee consistency, quality control, and food safety standards
- Train and mentor future bakery team members as the department grows
- Help establish Copow's bakery program as a signature part of the brand
What We're Looking ForRequired:
- Significant experience with sourdough fermentation and naturally leavened breads
- Strong understanding of fermentation, hydration, proofing, shaping, and baking techniques
- Leadership experience or a desire to lead and build a bakery program
Preferred:
- Experience with laminated and folded doughs, including croissants, Danish pastries, puff pastry, and other artisan bakery products
Additional Qualifications:
- 3+ years of artisan baking experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Strong organizational and production planning skills
- Passion for real food and premium ingredients
- Desire to contribute to a mission-driven company
