Forklift Operator/Material Handler
A large supply company is seeking a Forklift Operator/Material Handler to drive sit-down (preferably propane) forklifts. Additionally, you will be building any skids needed and packaging completed orders. Training will be done for 4 to 5 weeks on first shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and then the position will move to third shift.
Job Duties:
- Operator sit-down (preferably propane) forklifts to move pallets
- Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks and secure all loads before handling
- Ensure the production lines have material they need to keep production moving in a continuous flow
- Report inbound and outbound load discrepancies to supervisor
- Assist with packing, labeling, and preparing shipments
- Use RF scanner to record material movement throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Monitor surroundings to make sure necessary safety precautions are being used as well as look for ways to prevent accidents from occurring
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
