What You'll Do:
- Lead and support drivers, floaters, and lead employees
- Assign daily duties and ensure timely route starts and pre/post-trip completion
- Monitor route performance, weight slips, and route sheets to drive efficiency
- Identify improvement opportunities and conduct route observations
- Resolve customer concerns when needed
- Manage employee requests (vacation, PTO) and assist with scheduling
- Oversee accurate deliveries and exchanges
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members
- Address employee relations issues and document corrective actions
- Conduct safety meetings, facility inspections, and ensure OSHA/DOT compliance
- Investigate and report work-related injuries, accidents, and incidents
- Train new drivers/helpers on equipment, safety, and company programs
- Respond promptly to incident alerts and action-item emails
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in the transportation industry
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and related regulations
- Proven customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead, coach, and build a strong team environment
- Experience managing drivers preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Class A or B CDL preferred
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook
