Plant ManagerLouisville, KentuckyWe are seeking a hands-on Plant Manager to lead plant operations at our used cooking oil processing facility in Louisville, Kentucky.
This role is ideal for a practical, mechanically-minded leader who can manage people, solve problems quickly, and keep a fast-moving operation running safely and efficiently. The right candidate will be equally comfortable leading employees, troubleshooting equipment, coordinating with drivers and mechanics, and improving plant processes over time.
Our company serves restaurants and foodservice customers throughout the tri-state region of Kentucky, Indiana & Ohio with used cooking oil collection and processing operations. Customer service, integrity, accountability, and teamwork are core to how we operate.
What You'll Do
Lead daily operations of the processing facility and support staff
Supervise production employees and coordinate workflow to meet operational goals
Work closely with route operations, truck maintenance, and logistics teams
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues involving pumps, piping, filters, valves, tanks, and fluid transfer systems
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient facility environment
Drive accountability, professionalism, and integrity throughout the operation
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support customer retention and growth
Monitor operational performance, costs, and production metrics
Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and reliability
Support budgeting, inventory management, and basic operational reporting
- Support installation of indoor collection systems
Respond quickly and decisively to operational challenges as they arise
What We're Looking For
5+ years of management experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, logistics, recycling, transportation, agriculture, rendering, oil processing, food production, or similar operations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example
Working knowledge of industrial equipment and fluid processing systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with employees, drivers, mechanics, vendors, and customers
Practical problem-solving ability and willingness to make decisions
High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
Experience managing production and support personnel
Basic financial and budgeting knowledge, including budget-to-actual review
Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around industrial equipment
Ability to work with a wide range of personalities and maintain a positive culture
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in used cooking oil recycling, rendering, grease processing, waste/recycling, or related industries
Understanding of commercial kitchen frying operations
CDL or transportation/logistics experience is a plus
Experience with process improvement or operational efficiency initiatives
