CNC Set-Up Machinist
The CNC Set-Up Machinist will take charge of setting up CNC Lathes and Mills within the Machine Shop. This role demands a high level of expertise in operating CNC Machines of various axis and styles. The machinist will be responsible for transforming blueprints into programs and documenting processes to align with ISO standards.
First Shift Mon-Fri
Pay up to $35/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC Lathes and Mills using initial blueprints and programs.
- Select appropriate tooling and perform initial setup alongside first particle inspection.
- Document the setup process, including tooling requirements, to create an Op Print for each machining step.
- Collaborate with Engineering to produce a comprehensive set of Op Prints and setup documentation for new jobs.
- Utilize MasterCAM for programming and edits.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in CNC setup.
- Knowledge of ISO standards.
- Expertise with CNC Lathes and CNC Mills.
- Proficiency in FANUC controls.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in CNC setup and CNC lathe setup.
- 5+ years of experience working in an ISO standard machine shop.
- Experience with CNC mill setup is preferred.
- Mazak and Mazatrol experience are advantageous.
- Strong skills in MasterCAM programming and edits.
- Ability and interest in developing documentation processes.

Work Environment
The role is based in a 110,000 square foot machine shop equipped with 50 to 60 machining centers and operating primarily a day shift starting as early as 6am, with some roles starting as late as 9am.

This is a Permanent position based out of York, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
