Senior Reliability Engineer
Heavy Industrial Manufacturing | Asset Reliability | Continuous Improvement
A confidential heavy industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to drive equipment reliability, reduce chronic failures, and support long-term asset performance across complex operations.
This role is ideal for a self-starter with a strong engineering foundation who enjoys being hands-on in the plant, leading root cause efforts, and partnering cross-functionally to move organizations from reactive to proactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead equipment inspections and reliability assessments to identify failure trends and risk
- Drive Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and develop corrective and preventive actions
- Partner with Maintenance and Operations to improve equipment reliability, availability, and lifecycle cost
- Analyze asset and maintenance data to support reliability strategies and continuous improvement
- Support maintenance optimization, inspection programs, and mechanical integrity efforts
- Influence plant teams through data, technical expertise, and strong collaboration (without direct authority)
What We're Looking For
- Heavy manufacturing or industrial background required
- Not open to food, CPG, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments
- Proven experience with:
- Asset inspections
- Root Cause Analysis and structured problem solving
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or closely related discipline)
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable improvements
- Self-starter mentality — takes initiative, follows through, and thrives in plant environments
Experience Preferences
- 7–10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or asset management within heavy industrial operations
Work Schedule
On site
Compensation: $130-170k base
