Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Commission Analyst / Sales Compensation Analyst to support and manage the organization's monthly commission processes. This individual will play a critical role in administering commission calculations, validating payouts, resolving compensation-related issues, supporting payroll submissions, and improving commission operations through process documentation and system optimization.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience working with sales compensation programs, and the ability to quickly identify and resolve discrepancies within commission calculations and compensation data.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the end-to-end monthly sales commission process.
- Calculate, validate, and reconcile commission payments for a high-volume sales organization.
- Review commission data and ensure accuracy of calculations prior to payroll submission.
- Investigate and resolve commission-related inquiries, discrepancies, and support tickets.
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends, errors, and process improvement opportunities.
- Support administration and ongoing optimization of the company's commission management platform.
- Validate system outputs and identify bugs or configuration issues within commission tools.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Payroll, and Leadership teams to ensure accurate commission processing.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
- Assist with special compensation scenarios including territory changes, leave of absence adjustments, commission splits, and other non-standard payment situations.
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling employee compensation and payroll data.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in Commission Administration, Sales Compensation, Incentive Compensation, Payroll, Finance, Revenue Operations, or related fields.
- Experience managing commission calculations and incentive compensation programs.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to independently investigate compensation issues and identify root causes.
- Experience working with large datasets and compensation-related reporting.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after onboarding.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a SaaS or subscription-based business environment.
- Knowledge of sales compensation plans, accelerators, quotas, and incentive structures.
- Experience with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platforms.
- Experience with Anaplan or similar commission management tools.
- Background in Finance, Accounting, Business Analysis, or Revenue Operations.
- Experience creating process documentation and workflow improvements.
- Preferred experience with: Anaplan, Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) Platforms. Salesforce (or similar CRM systems), Microsoft Excel (Advanced), Data analysis and reporting tools
