Location: Houston, TX 77024 (Hybrid – Onsite Monday-Thursday, Remote Friday)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator / Client Service Representative (CSR) to support a Global Capital Purchasing organization within a leading manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary liaison between engineering teams, project stakeholders, suppliers, and procurement functions to ensure efficient execution of capital project purchasing activities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong procurement operations experience, expertise in purchase order processing, RFQ management, supplier coordination, and ERP purchasing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process Material Specification Transmittal (MST) packages and procurement transactions.
• Create and manage RFQs, purchase orders, and purchase order addendums.
• Support capital project procurement activities and purchasing workflows.
• Review procurement documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Coordinate supplier inquiries and competitive bidding activities.
• Enter and maintain purchasing information within procurement systems.
• Track procurement activities and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Resolve procurement, purchasing, invoicing, and supplier-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with approval authority requirements and procurement procedures.
• Support purchase order finalization and progress billing activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with process improvements and provide guidance on procurement procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or procurement operations experience.
• Hands-on experience processing Purchase Orders (POs), RFQs, requisitions, and procurement documentation.
• Strong ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, JDE, PeopleSoft, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting capital projects, engineering, manufacturing, chemical, industrial, oil & gas, energy, or construction environments.
• Familiarity with procurement workflows, supplier management, and purchasing compliance processes.
• Experience supporting project procurement teams and engineering stakeholders.
