Material Handler
Location: Wichita, KS 67219, USA Duration: 0-12 Months Shift: Mon-Fri 07am to 03:30pm Pay Rate: $20.00/Hour on W2
Role focused on receiving material functions. Previous warehouse and receiving experience required. Ability to move materials up to 50 lbs. Proficiency in computer systems required; MS Office necessary, SAP experience is a plus. Accepts incoming goods and verifies them against shipping documents (material number, description, quantity). Inspects goods for visible damage, documents issues, and provides necessary information. Ensures proper use of transport equipment such as forklifts and hand-guided trucks. Captures relevant data in data processing systems. Manages acceptance, storage, commissioning, and removal of goods in storage areas. Records all stock movements in appropriate systems. Organizes regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area. Assembles deliveries from storage and checks for completeness and accuracy against delivery notes. Packages deliveries according to shipping instructions, methods of dispatch, and packaging requirements (e.g., Dangerous Goods). Attaches appropriate shipping documents to outgoing goods. Conducts internal and, if applicable, external transportation using proper equipment. Selects procedures from defined options to address changing work situations. Operates multiple specialized machines, including setting parameters for CNC programs if needed. Performs qualified assembly tasks using a variety of tools and machines; tasks are procedural but repetitive. Applies basic theoretical and practical knowledge gained from vocational training and experience. Uses standard software packages in technical or administrative tasks. Handles routine customer inquiries and procedures in customer service or support roles. Operates with structured data collection in customer contact interactions. May manage automated line processing or a broad range of production machines. Performs repetitive work routines that may vary in cycle time from seconds to minutes. Requires 2-year vocational training and up to 1 year of relevant experience.
