Key responsibilities:
- Assist Chef and Sous Chefs in supervising BOH operations by:
- Supervising the full scope of daily food prep and production
- Receiving deliveries and supervising proper storage of items once delivered
- Ensuring that food quality standards are met and clearly communicated to the prep and porter teams
- Organizing and monitoring BOH labor and productivity in accordance with business demand
- Assist Chef and Sous Chefs in upholding DOH compliance by:
- Ensuring all compliant food storage standards are maintained
- Supervising the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance routines and checklists
- Helping identify areas in need of repair and occasionally supervise the completion of those repairs
- Support open, respectful, and productive communication across all teams
- Work with the Chef and Sous Chefs to establish and achieve clear individual performance goals
Successful candidate will:
- Have 2+ years of professional cooking experience with excellent production skills
- Display keen attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Be reliable, focused, organized, communicative, and curious
- Have a receptive and charitable attitude toward constructive feedback
- Be interested in working collaboratively towards meeting the goals of the team and the business
While performing the duties of the job, a Kitchen Supervisor is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
