What You'll Do:
The Fabricator I role is responsible for assembling case parts and products in the Fabrication Department using machinery and hand tools.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
- Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton's Quality standards and systems
- Assemble products using various types of equipment
- Use hand tools, small power tools, or other special equipment to assemble products
- Interpret orders and drawings to determine procedures and conduct work according to drawing specifications
- Conduct inspection of parts and quality checks using a variety of measuring tools
- Perform rework operations as required
- Replenish inventory of fabrication department
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas using Eaton's 5S procedures
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Must have one year experience in a manufacturing setting
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Williamsburg, VA will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with machine operator experience (grinders, resistance welding, and other metal working equipment)
Position Criteria:
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills • Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, blueprints, and drawings • Able to move material as needed using material handling carts (push/pull 50lbs)• Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs • Team player and able to collaborate with others to effectively complete work assignments per customer orders • Willingness to participate in training opportunities • Practice good housekeeping to keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly.• Perform other duties as required including flexing to other departments
