Senior Account Manager – Employee Benefits
A growing professional services organization specializing in employee benefits and workforce solutions is seeking a Senior Account Manager to support and manage a portfolio of client accounts.
This position is ideal for a benefits professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, managing multiple priorities, solving complex issues, and mentoring junior team members. The successful candidate will serve as a key client resource and help ensure exceptional service delivery across employee benefit programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts
- Manage client benefit programs and annual planning activities
- Coordinate implementation, administration, and ongoing support for employee benefit plans
- Assist clients with enrollment, eligibility, billing, and claims-related issues
- Review benefit plans, plan documents, and employee communications for accuracy
- Partner with carriers, vendors, and internal team members to resolve service issues and maintain client satisfaction
- Support client-facing technology and administrative systems
- Prepare materials and communications related to employee benefit programs
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Maintain organized records and ensure timely completion of assigned projects
- Assist with compliance-related activities and employee benefits administration
Qualifications
- Experience in employee benefits, group insurance, benefits administration, or a related field
- Strong understanding of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and ancillary benefits
- Experience managing client relationships and multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
- Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred
- Insurance licensing 2-15 is a plus but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
