ABOUT PROPELLER
Propeller works at the intersection of culture and social impact, partnering with talent like Chappell Roan, Noah Kahan, and Sabrina Carpenter to run campaigns that turn fan engagement into meaningful action for nonprofits.
We create opportunities where everyone wins: talent deepens connection with their audiences around causes they care about, fans get access to experiences and rewards, and nonprofits gain new supporters at scale. We're bootstrapped, cash-flow positive, and growing.
ABOUT PROPELLER PREMIER
Premier is our monthly donor membership program. It's the place where fans go from one-time supporters to engaged members of our community all year-round. Fans pick a cause to propel, give monthly, and get rewards like member-only ticket drops, exclusive merch, and access in return.
THE ROLE
Premier runs on a simple belief: a lot of people each giving a little, together, adds up to something big. We're taking that idea further by encouraging fans to support important causes monthly and giving them access to incredible rewards in return.
Monthly donor acquisition has been part of Propeller for years. Now we're hiring someone to help us do it better and bring it to more supporters.
This is a role for someone who understands fandom from the inside. If you've worked in or around fan clubs, artist communities, or membership programs and you know what makes a fan feel like an insider instead of a number, that's what we're looking for. You'll own Premier day-to-day: launching new clubs with artists and causes, building the partnerships that fuel them and drive retention.
We can teach you about attrition rates and lifetime value if that's not your background. What we can't teach is the feel for what makes membership worth it, the drive to make things happen, and the ability to work with partners and move fast.
The bar we hold ourselves to is for membership to add something real to people's lives. We want members who feel like they belong to a community that's worthwhile, where being part of it matters to them, and where canceling would mean giving up something they'd actually miss. That's the difference between a subscription people forget they have and a community people stay in for years. Building that feeling is the heart of this job.
Many of our partners lean on us to steward their monthly donor programs, which makes you the person guiding them, showing them how to get the most out of what they've got, and putting in the work to get them across the line, which isn't always easy. You'll own the day-to-day from the start, and as Premier grows, so will what you are responsible for.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Club Launches & Partnerships
Launch new Premier clubs with artists and causes, from executing the agreement to going live in days, coordinating creative, copy, platform setup, and launch communications.
Build and manage relationships with artist managers, label partners, and nonprofit teams on what each club offers and how it gets promoted.
Move partnerships from idea to live without dropping the details.
Member Growth & Retention
Help drive how we turn campaign donors and fans into monthly members, and learn the levers that scale it.
Keep members around: understand why they stay, and build the experience that makes them want to.
Get close to the numbers, surface what's performing, kill what isn't, and bring ideas for what to try next.
Rewards & Member Experience
Source and plan the reward drops, tickets, merch, experiences, and content that make membership worth it month over month.
Maintain the rewards pipeline so there's always something fresh on offer.
Own the Premier member experience: onboarding, milestones, surprise-and-delight moments, and feedback loops.
Member Communication
Write to members: welcome flows, monthly check-ins, surprise-and-delight comms that make people feel seen, not blasted
Be the internal point person for Premier across campaigns, ops, and tech
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
New clubs go from confirmed artist-cause pairing to live in days, not weeks.
The member base is growing steadily, and members are staying because the experience is worth it.
Partners feel taken care of and want to do more with us.
There's always something fresh in the rewards pipeline, and members feel it.
Leadership hears what members are experiencing through your insights, with patterns and stories rather than status updates.
You're bringing ideas for where Premier goes next, not just running the playbook.
REQUIREMENTS
Typically 2-4 years in something that touches this work, with fan club, artist community, music industry, talent management, membership startup, or creator-business experience standing out. We care more about instincts than résumé.
You get fandom: you understand what makes someone go from casual fan to committed member, and you can build for that feeling.
You're good with partners and comfortable working with artist managers, labels, and nonprofit teams.
Strong written communication, with a feel for brand voice and the ability to make a templated reply still feel personal.
Operationally relentless: you finish things and don't need a system to tell you what's next.
Tracking retention and growth and acting on what the numbers say is a core part of this job. You don't need to walk in an expert, but you do need to become one here.
Comfortable using AI tools as a daily multiplier, not just an occasional reference
You love music and culture and you're comfortable in rooms with artists and managers. The work won't make you starstruck.
Comfortable in tools (spreadsheets, Asana, Stripe, Slack, Claude, basic CRM and email platforms) and quick to pick up new ones
COMPENSATION
$70,000 - $80,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
