Job Title: Architect
Job Description
This role offers an experienced Architect the opportunity to support a major new casino development at Citi Field, helping advance construction documents from 50% to 80% completion within an ambitious timeline. The project includes a large-scale casino with approximately 1,000 hotel rooms, two parking garages totaling 5,000 spaces, a theater, and 17 restaurants and bars. You will work on ground-up, high-rise mixed-use and hospitality design in New York City, contributing across design development and construction administration while collaborating closely with a seasoned project team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, refine, and coordinate construction document (CD) sets, helping move the project from 50% CDs to 80% CDs within approximately two months.
- Participate in all phases from design development through construction administration for a large, ground-up high-rise casino and hotel project.
- Produce and update detailed drawings and documentation in Revit, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project standards.
- Support schematic design and design development efforts, translating design concepts into buildable, code-compliant solutions.
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other consultant disciplines to resolve design conflicts and ensure constructability.
- Apply thorough knowledge of New York City building codes and zoning regulations to guide design decisions and documentation.
- Assist with construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and supporting the resolution of field issues.
- Collaborate closely with a Partner or Associate Partner, Project Manager, and intermediate architects to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of mixed-use, multi-family, commercial, and hospitality components within a complex high-rise project.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation, and support timely delivery of drawings and deliverables according to project milestones.
- Use AutoCAD as needed to support documentation, coordination, or legacy drawing updates alongside primary Revit work.
- Engage in regular in-office coordination meetings to review progress, address design challenges, and align on project priorities.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- At least 5 years of professional architectural experience.
- Demonstrated experience with new construction and ground-up high-rise buildings, including mixed-use, multi-family, commercial, or hospitality projects.
- Strong experience in design development and construction administration phases.
- Proficiency in Revit for production of construction documents and coordination.
- Hands-on experience producing and coordinating construction documents for large, complex projects.
- Professional experience working on projects in New York City.
- Working knowledge of building codes and zoning regulations, particularly as applied to New York City projects.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with schematic design and translating concepts into detailed design solutions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD to support documentation and coordination as needed.
- Multi-family residential and hospitality projects, especially within high-rise or mixed-use developments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a structured project team that includes partners, project managers, and intermediate architects.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation for large, multi-component developments such as hotels, garages, theaters, and food and beverage venues.
- Interest in working on prominent, high-profile buildings and learning from a diverse portfolio of New York City projects.
Work Environment
This role is based in a New York City office, with work taking place on-site five days per week. Typical hours are approximately 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with very little overtime expected under normal conditions. The environment is professional and business casual. You will work within a structured studio setting where multiple partners each lead their own clients, projects, and teams. As a consultant, you will be assigned to one project at a time and collaborate closely with a Partner or Associate Partner, a Project Manager, and several intermediate architects. The team primarily uses Revit for design and documentation, with AutoCAD utilized as needed, and you will be exposed to a wide range of complex, high-profile New York City projects that provide strong learning and career development opportunities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
