Position OverviewIncompli is seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial sales professional to lead the growth of our Industrial Services division throughout California.
This is a unique opportunity to become the company's dedicated Industrial Market representative, responsible for developing and expanding a high-growth service line focused on industrial stormwater compliance and environmental consulting.
As the sole sales professional focused on this market segment, you will have the opportunity to help shape strategy, establish key industry relationships, and build a territory from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating opportunities, enjoys being in the field, and is motivated by the challenge of opening new doors, solving problems, and driving meaningful business growth.
You won't be inheriting an existing book of business—you'll be building one. Success in this role requires persistence, initiative, strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine passion for helping clients solve environmental compliance challenges.
This is not an account management role. We are looking for a true business development professional who enjoys prospecting, networking, meeting face-to-face with clients, and creating opportunities where none previously existed.

Your RoleDevelop and execute a business development strategy focused on industrial facilities throughout California.
Identify, prospect, and engage new clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, site visits, industry events, and other business development activities.
Conduct in-person meetings with facility managers, environmental managers, operations leaders, EHS professionals, and business owners.
Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Develop relationships with prospective clients and position Incompli as a trusted environmental compliance partner.
Understand client compliance challenges and recommend appropriate environmental consulting solutions.
Prepare proposals, pricing, and service agreements in collaboration with internal technical teams.
Lead contract negotiations and close new business opportunities.
Consistently meet or exceed sales activity and revenue goals.
Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure smooth onboarding and exceptional client experiences.
Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, forecasting, and customer information within Salesforce.
Represent Incompli at industry associations, trade organizations, conferences, and networking events.
Stay current on industrial stormwater regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications2+ years of outside sales, business development, territory management, or related experience.
Proven ability to generate new business through prospecting, networking, and relationship development.
Demonstrated success managing a sales pipeline and closing opportunities.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability.
Comfortable working independently in a field-based sales environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems and sales technology.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout California.
Preferred QualificationsExperience selling professional services, consulting services, environmental services, engineering services, or related solutions.
Environmental compliance, industrial operations, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, construction, engineering, or related industry experience.
Salesforce CRM experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience building a new territory, service line, or market segment.
