Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to support overnight manufacturing operations in a regulated production environment. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who excels at complex CNC machine maintenance and enjoys taking ownership of challenging equipment issues.
This opportunity offers senior-level responsibility, exposure to advanced machinery, and potential for assignment extension or conversion to full-time.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, with a strong focus on Haas mills and lathes
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including gearboxes, motors, servo systems, VFDs, sensors, and control components
Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps, valves, actuators, and regulators
Repair, calibrate, and maintain ovens, heating units, and temperature-controlled equipment
Use precision hand tools, power tools, welding, and fabrication techniques for repairs and modifications
Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
Support equipment installations, upgrades, changeovers, and continuous improvement initiatives
Document maintenance activities in a CMMS in compliance with GDP/GMP standards
Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, FDA, and internal quality policies
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong, proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting CNC machinery (Haas experience strongly preferred)
Advanced mechanical aptitude with motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and drive systems
Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves
Experience with sensors, calibration, instrumentation, and PLC-adjacent troubleshooting
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Experience working in GMP and FDA-regulated manufacturing environments
