About the Opportunity
Our energy client is undergoing a large-scale transformation across their enterprise systems. As part of this evolution, they are restructuring their learning and training organization to better align with key business value streams.
We are seeking a senior-level Instructional Designer / Training Lead to support enterprise-wide training and change initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in designing, developing, and guiding training efforts while also mentoring junior team members and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of enterprise training programs supporting major initiatives, including ERP transformation and ServiceNow implementation
- Design and develop engaging, learner-centered content using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, or similar platforms
- Create a variety of training assets including eLearning courses, user guides, and job aids
- Partner with business stakeholders, SMEs, and external vendors (e.g., Accenture) to ensure training content is aligned, accurate, and delivered effectively
- Support change management and change execution efforts, ensuring successful adoption across a large employee population
- Act as a mentor and leader to junior instructional designers and trainers, helping elevate team capabilities
- Translate business needs and large-scale system changes into clear, effective learning solutions
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing strategy, execution, and stakeholder communication
- Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and performance metrics
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in instructional design, training development, or learning strategy within a corporate environment
- Experience working in large-scale transformation or enterprise change initiatives
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate)
- Strong understanding of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
- Ability to operate as a "full-cycle" training resource—from course creation to documentation development
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members or leading training efforts
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and professionalism in executive-facing environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow (training, implementation, or end-user support)
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or similar enterprise system rollouts
- Background in change management or change execution teams
- Basic understanding of AI tools, prompt engineering, or emerging technologies in learning (not required to build AI curriculum)
- Project management experience or exposure
