Electrical Estimator Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely electrical estimates for commercial, multi-family and residential projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, and material pricing
- Solicit, review, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and leadership during pre-construction
- Participate in bid strategy, scope review, and value-engineering discussions
- Maintain estimating databases, pricing tools, and historical cost information
- Support handoff from estimating to operations for awarded projects
Estimator Qualifications (Required)
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator
- Strong understanding of wiring practices electrical systems and NEC requirements
- Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel (experience with Accubid Estimating Software a plus)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Experience estimating medical, office, retail, multi-family or residential projects is highly preferred.
