Management Trainee-Direct Hire Opportunity-Recent graduates from University or College are preferred.
Employees are trained to provide top-of-the-line customer service for our clients within the domestic supply chain. Over the course of 1–3 years, you'll work alongside experienced business operations and sales managers who will mentor and coach you as you hone your skills. You don't need to be an expert on semi-trailers or business management when you start — we'll teach you!
A typical day as a Management Trainee may include:
- Serving customers like PepsiCo and FedEx when they need trailers, helping determine their equipment needs, and explaining all trailer-rental options.
- Inspecting trailers using a hand-held device, including checking for damage or equipment issues inside and underneath the trailer.
- Managing customer accounts, including assisting with credit and collections.
- Verifying customer insurance coverage.
- Assigning repair work to vendors and company trailer mechanics.
- Using technology to perform inventories, manage equipment, and complete other operational tasks.
- Occasional paid travel to other company branches and Corporate Headquarters for New Employee Orientation, performance evaluations, and cross-training opportunities.
Career Growth Opportunities
- Within your first 1–2 years of training, you should have the skill set and knowledge needed to be considered eligible for promotion. Our rental branches need experienced Operations Managers to keep rentals and repairs moving smoothly. Whenever a new management opening arises at any one of our nationwide facilities, you'll automatically be considered for the opportunity. Promotions are based on qualifications, leadership ability, and branch needs rather than tenure alone. Managers and regional leadership teams provide coaching and development to help employees prepare for future advancement opportunities.
- Employees who demonstrate strong customer communication skills, commitment to business success, and the ability to build customer relationships may be selected for additional Business-to-Business (B2B) Outside Sales training. You'll work with Branch Sales Managers to develop your sales skills, grow a customer portfolio, and support trailer rental and leasing operations. Successful trainees may be promoted into Assistant Branch Manager roles, involving travel within assigned territories to expand the customer base and support existing clients.
- After your first promotion and relocation within the company, additional advancement opportunities become available. Operations Managers are considered for leadership opportunities at larger, high-performing branches, while Assistant Branch Managers receive preparation and training for future Branch Manager roles overseeing larger territories and branch profitability.
